Back to School, Guilty Mommy Guide 2 Life

Kick Off Summer by Preparing for Back-to-School: Introduction

When I was a kid, my mom always encouraged me to get my homework done on Friday so I wouldn’t have it hanging over my head all weekend. “Put it behind you & you can relax, enjoy the weekend!” she always said. I wasn’t always good about following that advice but over the years, as a mom, I understand the wisdom of her words. And as I look back over the years to raising Katy, I realize I should have applied Mom’s words of wisdom to back-to-school prep so I could relax & enjoy the summer

Preparing to send kids back to school is not only stressful, it is also expensive. This year, rather than putting a strain on your mental health & your budget right before school starts, take time to sit down NOW, right as the kids finish the school year, to prepare for the next year. Create a battle plan that allows you to make the most of your time & money. Over the next few days, I am sharing 6 simple steps that can ease your stress & make back-to-school a more enjoyable time for you & possibly your kids. It may seem like a pain but in the long run, you will be very glad you spent the time now rather than the $ later!
